The New Generation Issue

September 9, 2015

Bricks volume 3 is now available to pre-order. Throughout the process of putting this issue together, we asked all of our contributors what the word ‘new’ meant to them; what would they change about the fashion industry, and what does being part of the new generation of fashion mean to them.

"Fashion should challange human issues of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, and redefine beauty on a daily basis. New and cutting edge photoshoots that don’t question the model or subject, yet make the viewer question their own values, and re-evaluate their standards of beauty. The way creatives in fashion approach their craft has built an environment that is always changing, and will continue to".

- Bricks in-house creative – Hugo De Brett

"Fashion is all about the way we look, but it should be taken with a pinch of salt. I understand the importance of trends in fueling the fashion machine, but I wish there was less of an emphasis on them!"

– Bricks Features Editor, Peta Clark.
