Canadian designer Eliza Faulkner shares her new SS16 look-book with Bricks Online.
Eliza focuses on 'effortless' everyday dressing, aiming for a fresh and ultra-feminine approach throughout her collections. Her SS16 collection features cascading off-the-shoulder ruffles, bows, and blouson tops.
Using her signature ‘V-Pleat’ silhouette as the basis of her designs, Eliza uses linen,
printed cotton, and her favourite denim for a playful mix of youth and elegance.
‘I was inspired by the 1970’s and pastoral images of vintage Laura Ashley clothing. The
collection had a slightly romantic feeling to it...there are a lot of bows, ruffles, and frilly
bits, but it’s still fresh and easy to wear. I wanted to focus on the shoulders this season
because it’s such an understated way to be sexy.’
