So we all went a bit mental for the #mycalvins campaign. Admittedly, we were double tapping like nobody’s business. CK has had so many admirable campaigns since the 90s. Even 20 years later, they still have that endearing, edgy charm we’ve always loved.
Let’s be honest, there are 100 reasons we all dig this campaign, but for our sanity – and yours – we got it down to three:
It launched on Instagram
It’s no secret that Instagram is democratising fashion, it’s refreshing to see one of the world’s biggest fashion houses getting on board. The platform selection was clever and completely in line with their ‘we’re too cool to care’ attitude.
Pulling in favours from their celebrity paIs #mycalvins featured some hella hot cultural icons like Kenrick Lamar, FKA twigs, Fetty Wap, Joey Bada$$, Shantell Martin and Kylie Jenner. The campaigns diversity played a huge part in why it got so much attention.
It got personal
